Each year, M4-M6 students from Bangkok Christian College EIP participate in the Junior Achievement Competition. The idea is to give students access to knowledge and skills required in the business world.
Academic 2010/11 was the first year we have entered students into the competitions. Student went onto make an anti-bacterial hand wash and sell the product around the school campus. The group was a success, and made it to the final stage.
The current year (2013.14), student have created a company called 4Zip, and have produced a bag. They are well underway with Trade Fairs, business plans and marketing.
A quote from the JA Company themselves:
“We help young people connect what happens in the classroom with real life, ultimately encouraging graduation, skill development, entrepreneurship, and financial responsibility in adulthood.”
